Aaron,So, what does this have to do with removing the mapidsn PoE box? Did the DHCP server get migrated to the new switch too, and the \\\'switchport voice vlan X\\\' configuration on the server port was unique to the new switch?Windows is weird with 802.1Q tagging. In my experience, the windows drivers configure the NIC to pass tagged traffic, but /strip/ the 802.1Q header. It\\\'s about the most unhelpful combination I can imagine. I think Daniel Wood hit the nail on the head here. If the NIC had dropped the tagged packet, or left the tag intact (for the OS to drop), then everything would probably have been fine.Ever try assigning the VLAN ID with LLDP? The last place I worked tried and failed. I didn\\\'t get enough details to know what went wrong. LLDP seems like the way to go, because it saves the administrative overhead of maintaining (possibly thousands) of VLAN assignments in the DHCP server.

Pls I need your help.I attempted 642-813 scitwh exams yesterday;it was not easy!!!The dumps i read was not sufficient and most of the questions are not there!I failed the exams.Three sims came, aaadot1x, mls with eigrp and vtp with Intervlan .I did not have much problem with the simulation except that the command swi(config)# int range fa0/3-4did not work, so i hv to split the interface configuration one at a time and ado the channel-protocol lacp command. Then creating vlan in global configuration mode did not work i hv to go to vlan database mode to create my vlans. So, pls i need help to buy the recent dump for this exams
